Paulbert James Finn is the oldest child of The Finn Clan, a large and well respected group of Opinici (Maned Gryphons) mainly residing within the Liverpool Avalon. He is the manager for the numerous bands in the Liverpool Avalon, some of which are The Ellipsis, The Four Horsemen and The Boney Kings of Nowhere. Paul is also mentioned as being next in line for the position of "Cave Guardian". The exact nature of this position is unknown, with the only details known being that it is reserved for the first-born of the family and requires that the current Guardian does not travel abroad.
Paul has a good relationship with his brother Jim, who are sometimes found talking together and teasing each other, and is also friends with Jon Lyon, a Nemean Lion.
