Magic exists in the Skin Deep universe. It is usually used in the form of medallion magic, or magical abilities certain creatures have naturally. Some magic can also be learned by most other creatures, including humans, but due to its volatile nature, this is usually avoided due to the risks.

- Medallion magic, allowing a mythological creature to shift forms.
- Natural shapeshifting magic, used by a creature to shift either a part of themselves or their entire body.
- Various natural species' abilities, like a Sphinx's magical healing or a Nixie's ability to manipulate water.
- A sorcerer's spell used to create an underground tunnel. In this case, magic glyphs were also a part of the casting process.
